The two main letters are the Paleo Hebrew Hey and Greek sigma. The Paleo Hebrew Hey was chosen because it appears twice in the tetragrammaton of God's name (YHWH). It also acts as a E or a Greek Epsilon which makes up the first letter of the acronym. Here are some interesting facts and deep spiritual insights to the Hebrew letter Hey:
- It is equivalent to the number 5. There are 5 lines in this logo that point outwards - 4 are horizontal and the 5th middle line is diagonal to match the E shape of the paleo Hebrew Hey.
- 5 means grace which is associated with Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus).
- Means Behold. Learning. Reveal. This is appropriate since ETLADS is a place to discovery and adventure for the truth that is stranger than fiction.
- There are 5 books in the Torah.
- The 5 human senses.
- The 10 curtains in the Tabernacle had 5 on each side to represent to the two houses of Judah and Ephraim.
- Yeshua was wounded in 5 places when crucified.
- 5 sacrifices in the Abrahamic covenant.
- David's 5 stones used against Goliath and his 4 Nephilim giant brothers.
- The 5th book in the Bible Deuteronomy. This book reiterates the 10 (5+5) Commandments and YHWH's instructions to love Him. It also contains that details the second generation of Israelites and of Israel's future in the Promise Land and their prophesied disobedience.
- There are 5 figures on our hands. The hand is the letter Yod which the letter making up Yeshua creates when you rearrange them. If you keep His commandments, He will give you grace,
- The two times Hey appears in YHWH highlights its importance. It means the hand that reveals the nail of revelation.
The Sigma is a Greeks that makes up the last letter of the acronym. I chose this Greek letter mainly because there are mostly Greek members in ETLADS like Jonah and Costa, but it also has a spiritual and significant meaning too.
- In Mathamatics, it is a symbol for the sum and deviation.
- Means synchronized; synchronized-contraction; synchronized-drawing-together. The 42 are drawn together as a team to discover the keys to the future which is found in the ancient past.
- The shape of Σ resembles the starting gate at a racetrack. Starting gates are used to synchronize the start of the race, so that all horses start at the same time. Paul says we must finish the race of faith. Sigma is the beginning of that race. Many of the characters in ETLADS are unsaved and most find themselves finding God, which begins the race of faith.
- Sigma was also written in the shape of a new moon, a crescent, C. This is when Rosh Choddesh or a new Hebrew mouth starts. Acts as a foreshadowing for the ETLADS demigod's new beginnings as a new creation in Messiah.
- Seleenee (Σελήνη) is Selene, the immortal Goddess of the moon, literally “synchronized (Σ) Hellenes (Ἕλληνες).” Negative aspects can be drawn out as the Crescent moon is the shape of the Manai mother-ship we will see in Season 2.
