TORAH
In this portion, God is giving His priest this time special instructions to come before YHWH when approaching Him the wrong way, will incinerate us. We are a kingdom of priests.
The first thing YHWH tells Moses to do is to emor (speak, declare or say). The root word is nafrash which means to draw, breath, to refresh oneself. Therefore the phrase "i'nafrash" literally means tor ones life, or ones life processes." A logical extension would be for the sake of life or for the good of life-processes.
The message of pasha Emor comes in the immediate aftermath of the deaths of Nadab and Abihu. There are of course a few limited exceptions to the general rule. The compassion of YHWH requires that the restrictions do not apply if the other person involved is:
Cultural Marxism, political correction or One Nation have a plan to wage war on the family. Their main weapons are sexual immortality, abortion and homosexuality.
When the Scripture talks about "defiling ones self" it dose not mean sin. It is being ritually clean or unclean.
The prohibition regrading dead bodies was not just about touching a dead body, but even being in the same room as a dead body or walking over a grave or touching a tomb. In fact, man's religious ritualistic organisations, programs and services that do not follow the guide lines of YHWH's Torah and not having it as the centre point of focus is unclean. The whole point or role of the priest is to not only recognise the defence but teach the difference between these realms to the people.
We cannot cut our beards? Really? When you actually look into the pasha this week and last week, you would discover that context is everything. The Torah says says that you should never cut your beard. As a matter of fact it is the opposite! If you are a priest (which we are as servants of the High Priest Yeshua) you have to be clean shaven. So who does this apply to or what situation doe sit apply to? Its simple.
"Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:27-28
"Ye are the children of the Lord your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead. For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth." Deuteronomy 14:1-2
Israel lived at a time when ancient cultures had many customs that worship the pagan gods and the dead by shaving their beads and eyebrows. Here is a source explaining the significance of shaving in other ancient cultures. They mostly did not do it for hygiene reasons as the kohen do.
The primordial civilization of Egypt provides the first records that describe the act of shaving. The early Death masks and paintings reveal that men were very scrupulous with their facial hair. Pharaohs were the divine reincarnation of gods. They enjoyed a special treatment of grooming which bears the mark of deity. They would braid their beards and adorned them with golden dust. Other Egyptian men also had the custom of wearing mustaches in a fashion that resembles musketeers’.
However, things changed starting with the Dynastic Period. Men stopped seeing the beard as a sign of virility. Instead, they thought of it as a representation of primary instincts that only animals are blind enough to have. So, shaving became a custom among wealthy men. It also marked the dawn of barbaric times and the rise of civilization. Barbers were serving the royalty day in and day out so that their heads and bodies remained smooth all the time.
Even priests developed their own shaving ritual. They would remove all hair that covered their bodies by plucking the strands one by one. This procedure made no exception, so the priests were seen without eyelashes or eyebrows.
The act of shaving wasn’t the only factor that empowered this daily ritual. Pharaohs possessed expensive razors sanctified by priests and were adorned with jewels. When an Egyptian monarch died, he was buried with lots of treasures that also were of utility for his afterlife. Sometimes, these treasures included razors so that they can remain civilized even in the realm of souls.
However, even in the era of civilization, beards didn’t lose their meaning completely. Kings continued to wear this badge of virility but only as an “osird” which signifies the divine beard. However, this royal mark was actually a fake beard made of gold or silver and symbolized power and divinity.
The cradle of Western civilization that the Ancient Greeks empowered through philosophy has blended the facial hair with religious rituals. The boys were offering their first beard as a valuable tribute to Apollo, the God of Sun and Protector of spiritual life, youth, and music.
The only men devoid of beards were the men that were in great grief after losing a family member. As a sign of his tremendous sorrow, men would pluck their facial hair with their bare hands or put it on fire. When a man died, his family would hang flocks of his beard at the door to announce the passers their tragedy.
Shaving someone’s beard was a major offense that could even end up with jail time. Cutting half of the facial hair would mark a soldier with the demeanor of a coward and was people looked down on him.

The Torah actuality forbids 4 types of mournings.
Out of all the people of Israel, YHWH is taking the priests to be set apart from the set part people. They cannot marry a divorced woman or a woman that is not a virgin. This is very unlike the traditional Catholic priests that are under legalistic rules that they cannot marry. This is adding to the Torah just as the Pharisees did. You wonder why so many Catholic priests are accused for child abuse, it is because they are always working with kids and are forced to have no wives to satisfy their natural sexual drive. YHWH always knows better, every man needs a wife and every woman needs a man. It is part of His prefect Creation. The Catholic church are preventing this from happening, in which this very action the Bible calls, evil! Wonder why so many evil things are being disclosed about the child abuse in churches. If you are going to call yourself a priest, this behaviour is unacceptable. He gives the priests a higher standard than the rest of Israel. This is seen how the 70 elders or priests were taken half way up Mt Sinai as the people stayed at the bottom.
If we are truly ambassadors of His Kingdom, our sexuality belongs to Him. And if it is His He claims it exclusivity for His purpose.
This is very prophetic for believers that do not take His word seriously.
"And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire." Leviticus 21:9
For those that play the harlot and profane His Holy name (which is by committing idolatry,) are "reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." 2 Peter 3:7
The High Priest is forbidden to rent his garments. However, the High Priest of Yeshua's day Caiaphas rent his garments right in front of the Messiah because he was offended!
" But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy." Matthew 26:63-65
Yeshua is only coming back for a spotless bride, not a harlot as the Torah forbids one to marry a harlot. We are made clean through His blood and His word. It is interesting to note that the 144000 of Revelation have never deified themselves with women (or practised religion.) They are people that have no lie found in there mouths because they speak the truth which is the Torah.
In verse 18 to 21 God sounds very mean. This is an argument used by those that believe that Yeshua is a different God than YHWH because He said that the sick and the lame are to come to Him and be healed. YHWH's rules are infinite in every scope, so great that we can not even measure our understanding of how amazing this God truly is. He is setting a standard that no one comes to Him that reflects death, or they die. Now it might not be the persons fault that they are a dwarf they are deaf or blind or disabled. Does not mean being disabled is a sin. No. Nocturnal emissions and other things are natural are not a sin but are signs of the fallen nature of man embedded in our DNA that is twisted and is death. Anyone that has done anything that is ritually unclean like, menstruation, having ejaculation, vomit and burring a dead relative all relates to death. You cannot bring death into YHWH's presence because He is Holy and at this time period, He was literally dwelling among them. There is only life in YHWH's presence. I do not know about you, but this is very merciful. He is saving the unfortunate from instant death from Himself. He is so powerful, those with signs of death will be annihilated because He is the source of all life. He still loves these people but they cannot come into His manifest physical presence because He is so powerful.
Those that are lost, YHWH calls Ephraim blind, lame (perishing for lack of knowledge.) He talks about how Israel His people limp along because they have forgotten His Torah and His statues and His commandments and His decrees and they limp. They were made to run and jump like children.
People that have broken a bone like a hand or a leg because of running to evil. The Scriptures explain that those that do not help the needy and shed innocent blood (abortion) the very purpose of their hands and feet are broken.
Being a dwarf and having hunchback in the spiritual realm and in the Scriptures represents how people have not reached their full potential and have not reached a level of maturity. These are the people caught in the milk of God word that do not have the depth of it. Because of not having a deep understanding their spiritual growth is stunted. Those who are stunted, cannot offer to YHWH but can only eat the bread. This is a picture of the wedding guests (the stunted who have lack of enthusiasm and are deceived, thinking they are severing God by sinning) and the bride (the priests who have a higher standard that want to be set apart from the world, taking His word seriously).
If we want to be in the inner courts of Jerusalem, we must be able to follow the standard of the priests the best we can.
God has rules for holy people and holy items. If by chance something happens and the person becomes unclean in anyway shape or form you are to separate yourself from the ministry of service until the time you are clean so you do not offer profanity before Him. You take God's name in vain if your area pastor that does not step down from service when there is sin in their lives.
Leviticus 22:1-16 consists of instructions of the offerings regarding the final act of the sacrifices.
By engaging in a covenant meal after bringing an offering, one re-affirmed their commitment to the betrothal covenant.
Yeshua fulfils this Levitical law here. He is the High Priest that gave His life - the Holy offering, so we can eat His body, unless you are brought by the priest (or saved) by a price you can eat with Him. You cannot eat with God if you are a friend or a servant of Yeshua according to Leviticus 22:10-11. We must be brought with a price! This is the Gospel right here in Leviticus! A purchased servant is someone that wants to serve the person as long as he lives. Most of Christianity thinks that we are just hired servants that get their pay and leave their shift. This is simply not true. It is an excuse to not experience the blessings that they think are not relevant. These people that think they are hired servants for God that do not have Him in the centre of their lives are not saved.
"No stranger shall eat of the holy thing: a foreigner living with the priests, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing. But if a priest buys a slave, purchased by his money, he shall eat of it; and such as are born in his house, they shall eat of his bread."
Being called a slave to Christ is the greatest complement you could ever have. You get to eat at the Priest's table. Hired servants do not. We need to want to remain in the house and to not got out because we are not a master. For example, if we find or get something that is better than the other that your friend has, you give the best to them and you get the worst.
We are not allowed to chose what we want to give to God that is not our best (see what happened to Cain). We have got to give our very best to God or else we miss the mark of the intimate level of interaction the one making an offering was attempting to achieve. It would actually ruin the announcement to the world that the prefect Lamb without defect had been slain before the foundation of the world.
The offerings were all about drawing near to YHWH. It was much more than just an offering it was an inaction between betrothed parties. Our culture today is revolted by all the animal sacrifices (while they go along eating meat of tortured living animals before they were to die an agonising death). This is because they do not understand the horror of sin. Anything less would lighten the meaning of rebellion against our Creator. As a person truly draws near to God, two things stand out, the utter sinfulness of man, and the absolute holiness of God. if sin was not so utterly evil, then the punishment might be something less severe. We see how God looks at sin when we see sacrifice and the ultimate sacrifice on the Cross. We cannot get a true sense of the horror that sin really is because we are sinners. Christ alone being sinless, understood it, and the horror of the cross was His evaluation of it.
So may people profess to love God. But the question is, what do they offer to Him? Do have have seriousness to draw near? Do they even give Him as much time as they do with pets, friends their favourite show, listening to their favourite music and as much tie as they do their work? Do they weep over their sins or have they lost all reverence to the Most High Yah?
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." James 4:8
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13
On the seventh day YHWH rested, but that dose not actually mean He was tried, He let go - the final act of creating is letting go. By allowing the mother 7 days with her young we are allowing her to come to the point were she can let go.
Now everyone that hears about the 7 feast days, they says that they are only for the Jews. Well that is a utterly wrong because there were 12 tribes at the base of Mt Sinai when these laws were given and YHWH literally says that "even these are MY feasts." The Jews do not own them, they are the only ones that remain celebrating them because the other 10 tribes have fallen away.
A Holy Convocation translates to miqra which means rehearsal, to recite a divine script. It is therefore divinely called scripted rehearsals of YHWH's past and future acts of deliverance and empowerment. I have been doing Theatre for about 3 years now and we have to always memorise and rehearse lines for plays and monologue assessments and get our positions and the set pieces on and off the stage at a set time. The lighting and sound must be perfect and the lines and characterisation must be as best as possible. I see Yeshua as the main character that knows His lines, blocking and ques perfectly and the whole world is a stage. We are the actors that must learn our lines by having Holy convocations so on the opening night (when Yeshua returns) we will be ready to preform and put on an impressive show. The feats are dress rehearsals! It is so amazing how YHWH has spiritual meaning to all the physical things we do. Theatre is just a physical manifestation of what we must do to observe His feats. LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION! Theatre Bois!
All throughout Scripture, YHWH worked and done amazing things on His feats days. He will do this again in the End Times. If you are studying eschatology outshout recognising the importance of the feats, you have no clue at what you are doing.
Like on Passover, YHWH released His people from out of Egypt and in a future Passover, H will do it again in the greater Exodus. This gets so deep, i trust you would do your own research on the feats and the End Days, because i have no tie to show you all the amazing revelations YHWH has shown me these last 2 and a half years.
"That which has been is that which shall be; and that which has been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there a thing of which it may be said, “Behold, this is new?” It has been long ago, in the ages which were before us." Ecclesiastes 1:9-10
"These things happened to them to serve as an example, and they were written down to instruct us, on whom the ends of the ages have come." 1 Corinthians 10:11
The root from the word Moedim (feats days) means to betroth. So how could we not want to meditate and observer these holy days? It is like the most heart warming love letter ever written. We should be getting excited about these feats as we use to get excited about Christmas and Easter when we were kids.
The Tribulation Protection Plan:
By the daily menorah service to keep the light shining was a personal act of devotion performed in private. Nevertheless YHWH lovingly instructs us His people that it is absolutely essential that this private and personal type of priestly service be done every day - festival or no festival, community worship or no community worship.
The oil that fuels our light is the pure oil that comes from the pressing of our flesh s we sh'ma the word and surrender to the will of YHWH in ordinary affairs and circumstances of daily life. Our inner chamber also known as the prayer closet.
We eat the bread of His word every Sabbath day by doing Torah Portions.
Dan strikes again! Shelomith is the mother of the man that had a wife blasphemed the name of YHWH is from the tribe of Dan. Again, another proof he is not worthy to be in the 144000. Chapter 24 gives us a interruption as this sin/event must have been very abrupt historically. Why does this story happen in the Torah here? It is because the laws we looked at today was about how to NOT blaspheme the name of YHWH.
Then suddenly Torah takes another turn. Before finishing the story of the Danite blasphemer, it will present the judaical laws for for one that injures or kills another: lex talonis or eye for an eye.
If you blaspheme YHWH's name, at the time of judgement, expect bad things to happen on you because He is the judge. This is not personal, so He has the right to do damage to make restoration fair because justice is His.
Yeshua never talked against the Torah. He make clear that lex talionis is not something that is personal situations where it should be love, forgiveness and going the extra mile - not equal retribution - is to be the rule.
The Danite woman married an Egyptian went through a court system and he was allowed be stoned. This is how serve it is for one to blaspheme His name when He comes back to establish governance.
They transgressed the 3rd commandment to not say the YHWH's name in vain. On the surface, it means do not swear using His name. But this also can mean blasphemies and also be making His name meaningless. Some blasphemies can be consider unforgivable like the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. As a human wife should never bring dishonour or say anything that brings shame upon the bridegroom, we should never say anything to dishonour the name of our King - the Bridegroom. It is those that use God's name for things that are unholy and claim God's claim but are not part of His Kingdom are breaching this Word. YHWH's name in Hebrew is His character. We are in NO MEANS spit at the face of His character! Do not make it worthless or replaced. You can also break this command by not doing what He says.
The primitive root to the Hebrew verb for blaspheme: naqab, means to pierce, perforate, bore or thrust through with a spear. When people blaspheme His name, they make their Creator - the Creator of the Universe, appear in vain, become valueless and unimportant.
It was maybe because the son of Shelomith being of mixed linaged, that the Isrealites did not know what to do with him. For this reason, YHWH seems to emphasise that the death
penalty for blaspheming applies to ANY person dwelling in the Israelite camp, native or sojourner. This is a similar story to the gatherer of wood in Numbers 15: 32-36 in the Shelach L'cha portion. These are a picture of rebellion against authority.
Are we happy to let it slip by every time we hear somebody curse, "Jesus Christ" as a swear word? Are we happy to watch as all that YHWH holds dear is attacked and defiled? Are we happy to listen to the lies and celebrate the profane?
"David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done to the man who kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” 1 Samuel 17:26
David is quite prophetically speaks to the enemy of YHWH, the enemy who is insulted that he should make a stand, the enemy that underestimates what is to come against YHWH's anointed. Therefore we should make a stand when our King is insulted deliberately.
YHWH deserves so much more.Be brave and make a stand. If you are with YHWH no one can be against you.
"Deal generously with your servant;
then I will live and observe your word.
18 Open my eyes, so that I will see wonders from your Torah." Psalm 119:17-18
The first thing YHWH tells Moses to do is to emor (speak, declare or say). The root word is nafrash which means to draw, breath, to refresh oneself. Therefore the phrase "i'nafrash" literally means tor ones life, or ones life processes." A logical extension would be for the sake of life or for the good of life-processes.

Friday in Theatre Year 12 class at school. Good times. This is what it should be when celebrating God's feasts. BTW that's me on the left. |
21 “You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but on the seventh day you must stop working, even during the seasons of plowing and harvest.
22 “You must celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the first crop of the wheat harvest, and celebrate the Festival of the Final Harvest at the end of the harvest season. 23 Three times each year every man in Israel must appear before the Sovereign, the Lord, the God of Israel. 24 I will drive out the other nations ahead of you and expand your territory, so no one will covet and conquer your land while you appear before the Lord your God three times each year.
Today these moedim have become tagged to one people group that hate their own King. They are memorials for the past and future acts of YHWH. How heartbreaking would it be to the Father if His festivals for us has been replaced by man-made holidays!
This was a shock to me as it will be for you reading. In my resent adolescent years after i came to the realisation that Santa is not real, I've began to wonder why we have Christmas trees and Santa traditions on Christmas as well on Jesus' birthday. It turns out, everything we do on Christmas has its roots to paganism. We know God is very strict about us NOT mixing with the pagans. He's on a broken record when warning His people before they are invaded by other nations. It reminded me of the story of the golden calf when the Israelites wanted to worship God their way. What happened? Oh yeah, about 3000 dead...
What's sad, Christians know this date December 25 is NOT Jesus's birthday, yet they still celebrate it! This is why atheists don't believe in Jesus because, they see that He can not be born in December, and he is just a copy of the many pagan sun gods like Osiris who were actually born on that day and worshipped by the pagans. The atheists don't see the truth that is the true day our Messiah was born which falls on Sep 11 on the Gregorian calendar.
But don't willingly ignore the truth that is put forward. Don't feel upset at me for showing you this.God has a holiday as an alternative that falls on December 25th and it is called Hanukkah. It goes for 8 days instead of one. He has also traded in 7 other Holidays each year with one every week. Now that is a bargain.
Why has the Torah chosen to focus and discuss the feasts in the midst of the information for priests and sacrifices and holiness?
The root word for moedim is ya'ad which means to meet with someone and commune with them very personally and intimately. When He says depart from me i never knew you, He is speaking about an intimating knowing. It is yada, the word for a husband and wife coming together.
The Tabernacle was a place where man was able to meet and establish a closer relationship with the Almighty. It was an opportunity for Him to grow closer through fellowship with YHWH and with all of Israel. The same word in Leviticus 23 is translated as moed for feast and meeting. What Torah is trying to tell us is that this meeting with YHWH takes place not just in the fixed space of the Tabernacle but also in the foxed time of the day.
We now understand how the instructions of the fest are in the middle of the instructions for the holiness of the priests, because it is our obedience of keeping of the feasts is referred to as callings of holiness.
Days like Shabbat is not an ordinary 24 hour period. It is instead a 24 hour period of unrestricted spiritual potential. It is an invitation like a date night. You can acknowledge it or you can ignore it, enjoy it or hate it, but it is impossible to change it. To return to the covenant is to keep the Shabbat.
We are on our way to Gat-shemeni - the olive press. And we are to constantly be about the business pf crushing the flesh in order that pure and precious oil - shemen - can be released and so we can be a light to the world.
"Deal generously with your servant;
then I will live and observe your word.
18 Open my eyes, so that I will see wonders from your Torah." Psalm 119:17-18
Let that be our prayer. Let us separate ourselves from all that seeks to destroy us and let us not accept that which seeks to denigrate the name of our Saviour. Let us be like David and mediate in YHWH's word that we might go on to enjoy the victory over His enemies.
PROPHETS AND NEW TESTAMENT
Partial obedience is disobedience in God's eyes. If Saul listened to God, the Amalekites would have been wiped out forever. He lost his kingship by not obeying God. Shows how important it is to live a sh'mar life style.
The ordinances of the priest of Zadok after the Babylonian captivity parallel the Levitie
instructions given in this weeks Torah Portion.
In the Millennium, we will be celebrating God's moedim. If people do not celebrate them, they will have no rain. So it is stupid to say these things are done away with only to reestablish them again in the Millennium. We are to rehear before we do it at that time.
The Nephilim will be completely extinct by the Millennium and to never return again.
If we as priest, blaspheme His name, He will make it a curse to celebrate man's holidays like Christmas and Easter.
It is mentioned that Judah marries the daughter of a pagan god. Did God marry Israel and Judah? He divorces Israel but brings her back by the sacrifice of His son.
It is a good thing YHWH is not trendy because if He was, we will be easily swayed and defeated by the enemy. He is a rock. He is not shifting like sand. YHWH doe snot get with the times because if He did, we will all perish.
"For I am the YHWH, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." Malachi 3:6
Those who fear YHWH's name and talk about Him will be written in a book of remembrance or the Book of Life.
Malachi tells us in a Last Days context to remember the law of Moses and to await Elijah's coming to draw a line in the sand from the wicked and the righteous.
Malachi does not segway into the New Testament. The whole book is in a Last Days context and the Gospels are not. There is not commercial interruptions or the dividing pages "Old Testament" and "New Testament". It is one whole story.

How do we bring about fresh oil to keep our lamps shining? We need to see what Yeshua did there to get an idea how to be as a wise virgin and a light to the world. The secret to to always let His will be done and not ours. Just like the menorah we must have the word of God elevated in our lives.
When it says go to those that buy and sell, might be referring to those Christians that do not take God's word seriously end up falling away when they do not have the entire word as part of their lives.
The Sabbath was made for man so we can rest. We were made to enjoy His creation and rest in His presence.
Those that have signs of death and are disabled that cannot come into God's presence are healed by Him. This is why He had to come into the flesh so He can heal those with defect so they can come into God's presence.
Acts 20 says that Paul observed Unleavened Bread and Pentecost.
Yeshua is fulfilling this Torah based commandment by purchasing us with His money. His money was His blood. The cliche that Jesus died for our sins comes from the Torah. We cannot do the Passover (Last Supper) unless we get the fact that He bought us. We serve Him full time. We accept the gift to come into His house and dine with Him because when an Israelite is purchased by a priest, (Yeshua) he is part of the family. He is adopted or grafted into Israel. We take on His name with honour. The olives that are crushed for the lamps are the results of the refiner believer when they go through struggles and they come out shining brightly in His light being a lamp-stand, which are the two witnesses.
"But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree; don’t boast over the branches. But if you boast, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.” True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don’t be conceited, but fear; for if God didn’t spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off. They also, if they don’t continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more will these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? For I don’t desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in," Romans 11:17-25
We will know when Yeshua will be coming back to rapture us after the Tribulation.
Studying the Torah in my opinion is crucial. It is the tutor that helps us learn how to love and follow God, when saved, should be our ultimate goal in life. When in Christ (the living word) the Torah should be written on our heart. To do that, we must study it and be familiar of what God says to do. We will not need a tutor when we are well learnt and remember what was taught.
Peter makes it clear that we are the priesthood and we should follow the instructions given for them.
Peter warns us that even in his day, Paul's advanced and deep insights were being twisted by those not as smart to suit their preconceived notions bringing the error of not following Torah. This still happens today in greater numbers. It is an epidemic.
Shalom
