TORAH
As Leviticus ends, it conduces at the main crossroads. After weeks of learning and reading the third book of the Torah, It is now up to you as the reader to decide weather or not you would chose life or death or listen to what is written. Blessing or curses. Blessing come with obedience to YHWH and rebellion is obviously a curse.
If we lived according to YHWH's Word then we would all be blessed. He is just and righteous and knows how dangerous certain things are to His people. Our Elohim is loving and kind and gracious, He is slow to anger, but He loves His people as the apple of His eye and He knows what is best for them - and it might not fit in always with man's idea of what is best.
We live in a world the is full of dependency which leads to apathy, ultimately finishing in bondage.
Leviticus 26 is a powerhouse of very important information for those that are new to following Torah after being saved. It is like the cliff-notes of God's constitution for His Kingdom.
If. When YHWH says IF, He is implying that He encourages your freewill. If you freely chose to serve Him, you will get life. He does not force anything upon us.
If in Hebrew is im (aleph and mem). The first letter aleph represents the strong leader which is YHWH. The mem is a hieroglyphic of a wave of water. Im is not just a word, it is a cue. The letters that make up im means to put in motion, to animate and give life to whatever is being discussed. It means that whatever is under discussion is constantly loving like flowing water.
The blessing described are the natural products of Torah lifestyle.
Due to the confusion in the translation the Hebrew uses a distinction between the singular and plural pronoun. So in verse 3 it is actuality given to the nation as a whole and not the individual. So what we read in chapter 26 is a listing of blessings and punishments at the national level. As a result of obedience, the nation will enjoy prosperity in regards to the land's agriculture, political stability, security and military success. So someone being disobedient puts the entire nation at risk. Community is therefore very important.
You can be blessed as an individual but you are a very crucial part in the body of Messiah. No matter how lonely you feel at times, align yourself with those that take part of Israel that attempts to keep the commandments of YHWH.
The English for verse 3 sounds very dull and dry. In Hebrew, we get an insight to the colourful meaning of the root words behind the English. Keeping means to cherish, value, guard and protect His commandments, we are to give form and substance to them.
The phrase Bechukotai (In My Statutes) describes how we who are redeemed by the Holy One and called apart to be His Ambassadors on earth are to live, to think, and to act. We are now not only citizens but emissaries of another Kingdom. The ways of our King and His Kingdom are now our ways. That's why we do not fit in. Personally, i do feel as if i am not an average kid. I feel like i am a rare kind, different from everyone else. I have noticed, that a lot of my great popularity i once had has completely died down to the point i feel abandoned. Even some of my close friends, though we respect each other see that there are things we do really retaliate to each other that much. I am going to be honest, I have been through the phrase of uncertainty for a while. Being a Christian teenager, especially today, that genuinely cares and loves YHWH is overwhelming daunting and frustrating. I am blessed to have good friends that are more nerdish and do not prefer to do the typical going to parties and getting drunk and getting girls, yet they completely dead in spiritually, they talk about vain things and it can be quite hard for me to be with them all the time.
The root word for bechukotai is chaqaq. This literally means to engrave i.e. to make an outline, or pattern, in stone - a heart of stone to a heart of flesh, there He will write His Torah on our hearts (the New Covenant.) The noun chukah means that which has been engraved and serves as a map or blueprint. In this context, chukatai means "the things YHWH has engraved on the tablets of stone He gave to Moses at Sinai and our our hearts to serve as a map or blueprint for our lives.
The Hebrew for commandments is mitzvot in which the root is tzavah. The pictorial representation of the three letters makes: a man bending in submission to YHWH's Hand upon His life - connected to - revelation He brings him.
If you and the world around you to get revelation, you need to do and keep His commandments or mitzvot.
We need to treat God and His word of what the Hebrew definition of sh'mar revels to us. Sh'mar is to treasure, to aggressively guard, to carefully keep watch over (as one would a child, or a precious treasure), to diligently defend, to protect, to cherish and to bring into full potential.
As a potter sculpts a pot of clay, we are to sculpt our lives around God's word. It is to fashion something out of it that brings glory to YHWH. Let His commandments be the building block for our lives.
Do not forget that YHWH rescued you. Do not forget how lost you were (i was), how blind. Do not forget that it is only because of His mercy and grace that you have life -n then treat people accordingly - do not look down your nose at anyone - be always ready to consider the lowly, the hurt, the estranged, the people that YHWH puts in your path to give you the chance to show Him how grateful you are that He rescued you when you were an undeserving wretch.
Rain as a result of following YHWH's ways is a complete blessing for those that live in an agricultural society. Rain is symbolic of the teaching of the Torah. Trees sometimes are a symbol for people. The field is the world - a place where we can plant seeds and grow crops. Fruit is our works of righteousness. The seasons are the appointed time or holidays He meets with us like the Sabbath and the modem. The song of Moses in Deuteronomy 32:1-2 confirm this.

The blessings in verses 9 to 13 are actuality very similar to the blessings given in the Garden of Eden. This is what we get. YHWH wants to dwell with us against as it was before originally in the Garden. It will be utter bliss because He has given us freedom and will make us whole in our original state. So what Leviticus 26:4-9 is describing is returning to the garden, returning to where everything was good. Solomon tells us that the Torah is the source of wisdom - a tree of life.
"She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her. Happy is everyone who retains her." Proverbs 3:18

We have a destiny, as individuals we have a purpose but as a nation we have an amazing destiny. We are set of the biggest adventure in the whole history. We are the servants of YHWH and we are the most blessed people on the whole face of the earth. I cannot wait for the Greater Exodus.! Valley of Achor here we come!
The curses like the blessings are the progressive disciplines of YHWH. As painful as they may be to us, they are not permanent judgements. They are not the product of uncontrolled wrath. They are too the outgrowth of YHWH's love. A loving Father spells out for us in advance a series of progressive disciplines He will lovingly apply to us, to wake us up and bring us back to our senses and lead us back to repentance.
When YHWH says if you will not love me and spurn my rules, He sounds very hurt. He is speaking to His betrothed bride under the huppa of His cloud at Sinai.
Fear and panic and heartache are for those that willingly reject and abandon His covenant. But for those in Yeshua do not fear when calamity arises, " For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:7

"If you walk contrary to me, and won’t listen to me, then I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins." The seven times punishment is the same when regarding the punishment of the House of Israel and for those that try and kill Cain. Here is Rob Skiba explaining the significance of the seven time punishment. Because if this, the 10 Lost Tribes of Israel have been scattered all over the world and it is only now when it seems like everyone from all over the earth are suddenly waking up to getting back into covenant. The REAL Israel is rising.
Think about it: Why is it that within the last 5 years or so there have been SO MANY Christians waking up to the "PAGAN ROOTS" of our faith and have begun to dump those bogus traditions? Why are SO MANY Christians all of a sudden now concerned about the name of God and trying to obey His commandments? Why are the Feasts being talked about in just about every church now-a-days (thanks to the Blood Moons)? Is this mass hysteria, or a legitimate move of YHWH, wherein His (former) Gentile people are finally ready to repent and get back to the precepts and promises of the "good parts" of Leviticus 26?
Many are fearful concerning the days ahead. Well, those are some seriously POWERFUL promises we just read! It continues...
Leviticus 26:
10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.
11 And I set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
13 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
Many think of YHWH's Law as "bondage." OK. Think about that for a minute. Did YHWH really rescue the Israelites from the bondage of Egypt, just to put them into His own bondage?? How does that make any sense to anyone?? No. I see tremendous freedom and joy in obedience to YHWH's commands.
Now, on the flip-side, you have those out there likening obedience to YHWH to being influenced by demons (https://www.facebook.com/notes/rob-skiba/obeying-yhwh-doctrine-of-devils/10152820823342506). Well consider where disobedience gets you...
Leviticus 26:
14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
Honestly, I fear for many of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I post a lot of stuff on my wall to get people to think about the importance of obeying YHWH. ESPECIALLY as these days continue to get darker. And it seems the more I do, the more come out of the woodwork "despising" YHWH's commandments, judgments and statutes. Worse yet, doing so in the name of "freedom in Christ."
But according to the above verses in Leviticus 26, that's not a good thing to do. Disobedience brings judgment. But He brings that bad stuff on His people so that they will stop their wickedness (sin) and turn back to His ways (which bring life). He gives us a chance to turn back, but...
Leviticus 26:
18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins {defined as transgression of the Law in 1 John 3:4}.
19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.
23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
26 And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.
31 And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
32 And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.
34 Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
36 And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
37 And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
38 And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
39 And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
How incredibly interesting that the "seven times" punishment is mentioned 4 times. Could this be a shadow of things to come during a SEVEN YEAR TRIBULATION in which there are 4 judgments given: Seals, Trumpets, Thunders and Bowls? Is it just a coincidence? I don't really think so.
Ezekiel 4:
1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:
2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.
3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
In the context of this story, it is talking about Israel as in the Northern Kingdom, also known as Ephraim. Now, if my understanding of my identity as an adopted/grafted son of Israel is correct, I believe I am grafted onto Ephraim's stick (of Ezekiel 37). This is due to the prophetic blessing of Jacob over Ephraim in Genesis 48. He was to become the "goyim" or the Gentile nations. Thus, the "fullness of the Gentiles" coming into the commonwealth of Israel, would seem to go back to this.
Now, Judah also went into captivity and served 70 years (1 year for each of the Sabbath years they did not give the land rest) in Babylon. But they learned their lesson, repented and were thus brought back into the land and remained there until their disobedience got them booted out again in 70 AD. But there is no evidence Ephraim ever repented. Ephraim's sentence was 390 years according to Ezekiel 4. But since they did not repent, they had 7 times the length of punishment added on according to the principle established in Leviticus 26. This weekend during our study, my friend Chad wondered if Ephraim received 7 times the judgement for not repenting after the 390. If this theory is true, check out the math:
390 years of initial judgement x 7 for not repenting = 2,730 years total
According to BibleStudyTools.com,http://www.biblestudytools.com/commentaries/revelation/related-topics/northern-kingdom-falls-to-assyria.html they went into Assyrian captivity in 721 BC.
2,730 total - 721 = 2009
Now consider this: The last chapter of Malachi is written in a Last Days context. It ends with:
Malachi 4:
1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
I'm thinking there's something to this, because I have never been more "on fire for God" in all my life (and I've been in some form of ministry for nearly all of it - since age 7). I've learned more about my Savior from the Feasts and Commandments of YHWH than in all my studies of the New Testament. I have more "freedom in Christ" and understanding of His Scriptures (especially the writings of Paul) than I ever did before. I spend more time studying the Bible - and can't get enough of it - than ever before. I can sit in a room or on the radio for 3 - 10 hours straight talking about Scripture. This has NEVER been the case for me until these last few years. And I know the same is true for many others. So again... could we be seeing the final return of Ephraim and the beginning of the "fullness of the Gentiles" coming back into the fold? Are we seeing the two sticks of Ezekiel 37 coming back together?
Could be.
Nimrod is the Antichrist. He is the source of false sun-god religions and occult mystery schools. His name means, "We shall rebel." |
Rebellion is what got Israel sent into captivity in the first place! Forcing themselves back into the land through rebellion (contradicting the mandate of Lev. 26) is not good!
"Therefore, just because the current state of Israel calls itself "Israel" does not mean that it is the Yisrael that we read of in the Scriptures - which consists of all of the Redeemed of YHWH. While a group of genetic offspring of various tribes of Yisrael have returned to the Land, the majority have done so for reasons not entirely consistent with the type of restoration seen in the Scriptures." - The Redeemed by Todd Bennett (page 186.)
"Dear Christian brothers and sisters, if this is true, then we must be very, very careful in what we believe in the coming years. If this is a counterfeit, do not be surprised if this current state of Israel does get wiped off the map. If there is no pre-Trib. Rapture, do not be discouraged or deceived when millions of people disappear (or are taken up into "space ships) are you are "left behind." We have to be on guard - the Bible tells us that there is a Coming Great Deception, that will be SO great that even the elect could/will be deceived by it." - Rob Skiba
4 times YHWH mentions that if you do not listen to me, you will get 7 times the judgement, He gets madder and madder because He knows they will still not listen to Him. It is like a nagging parent. I do not know about you, but when no one listens to my mother or father, they get madder and madder and their voice gets louder and louder. If i were you, i would listen up the first time, because the wrath of the God of the universe so complex, you should be sacred, because you would be so stupid to not listen to Him.
The characteristics of the House of Israel is identified in Scripture. These are the lost sheep Yehsua was sent for and to die for. This is the house in which we are grafted into (see the Torah Portion main page with videos to see regarding our identity as Israel once we accept Jesus Christ.)
- We live among Gentiles (Hosea 8:8)
- We will forget His name and replace it with a generic title (Jeremiah 23:27)
- The understanding of the Torah was foreign to us (Hosea 8:10-12)
- We are called His people who are not His people (Hosea 2:23), those who are far off (Isaiah 57:19) and the lost sheep (Jeremiah 50:6)
- Most of us will come from the west when we are regathered in the future (Hosea 13:15)
Regarding the punishments for not doing His commandments, in Amos 4:2 it was actuality literally talking about Israel being lead away with hooks during 721 BC.
" The Lord God hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks."
YHWH warns unrepentant Israel of their coming agony when they are conquered and exiled into the Caucasus mountains (Scythia and Parthia) as a buffed state to protect Assyrian empire from the rising Persians. When the Assyrians underpopulated and captured a conquered community they were not nice. In fact, their methods of warfare and conquering were some of the most horrific, animistic and savage practices ever done in the ancient world. One of the many scandalous things they did was they led captives away of long journeys, stripping them naked and attaching them together in a system of strings and fishing hooks piercing through their lower lip. YHWH would make sure they were lead in this humiliating manner through the broken walls of their conquered cities. Assyria would lead away captives with lip-rings and gouging out their eyes with spears.
Just like the House of Israel were lead away as fish, so Yeshua calls those who are prepared to count the cost and follow Him, to be fishers of men, a call that ties in very well with this statement:
"But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 15:24
What? YHWH warns His people that if they disobey willingly they will end up in such a savage state they will find themselves eating their own children. It would not surprise you that this event did actuality happen in history. In 597 BC, the House of Judah was under siege from the Babylonians. History tells us what happens when we chose to not follow YHWH. It is very bad.
"As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, saying, “Help, my lord, O king!” He said, “If Yahweh doesn’t help you, where could I get help for you? From of the threshing floor, or from the wine press?” The king said to her, “What is your problem?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’ So we boiled my son, and ate him: and I said to her on the next day, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him;’ and she has hidden her son.” 2 Kings 6:26-29
"The hands of the pitiful women have boiled their own children; They were their food in the destruction of the daughter of my people." Lamentations 4:10
The lamentations of Jeremiah the righteous prophet who suffered immensely because of the sins of the nation.
Exile becomes the worst curse of all. This is what happened to Adam and Eve and the Babylonian captivity was only an exile on a national scale. It comes to a point the wickedness and evil becomes so bad that just like the Flood and Sodom and Gomorrah, YHWH had to intervene so He can save the earth. The exile was necessary, no matter its brutality. The land according to His own law must be given rest from evil or else He will be breaking His own law.
The House of Judah dwelt in the land for 800 years after Israel was taken away by Assyria. There were 114 Sabbatical years in this 800 and they profaned 70 of them. Because of this, naturally they had to live the land into captivity for 70 years so the land can make up for its loss of rest. This is YHWH's house and when we ruin the furniture, He has to get it repaired.
After all the doom and gloom YHWH always has hope built in. Immediately following these curses comes YHWH's solution to the dilemma.
"If they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary to me, I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity; then I will remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land." Leviticus 26:40-42
Many say that "the law of Moses" as if Moses wrote and came up with the law. It says at the end of Leviticus 26 that it is YHWH's law - made between Him and His people.
As we approach the last chapter of Leviticus (Vayikra), let us see what William Bullock Snr has to say to finish off.
"The entire theme of this book is summed up in its very important first phrase "and He called". This book is all about YHWH's calling for His people to approach Him as a bride. This book is in the Torah because YHWH wants His people to know how to draw near to Him, and to know how to approach Him, to learn how to know Him intimately, to walk with Him, to come to love Him - and to, thereby, progressively mature into His Pure, Spotless, Bride."
Leviticus seems very anticlimactic to me. But when i saw its true spiritual meaning, it is a great and interesting ending. Lets see why.
Again, we bring our pre-convinced notions to judge scripture which is so very dangerous. So many misinterpret these verses in Leviticus 27 to mean that some human beings are worth more or worth less than others, based upon age, gender and social-economic status. That is not at all what it is saying! The first verse quoted explains what is being discussed. The valuation discussion are limited to a specific circumstance: the situation where a person has made what our English Bibles call a "singular/special vow" to YHWH.
A vow (Hebrew neder) is a solemn declaration of dedication of something of value to God. A neder is usually made either from gratitude for benefits received, or in the event of deliverance. The Hebrew word that translates as "singular" is the Hebrew word pala. This word is from a verb root meaning to do a miraculous work, or to perform an impossible task.
But only YHWH can preform a pala. If a man vows to perform a pala he will fail miserably. It is impossible really. And if a man fails, how can He be able to face YHWH?
This is the whole purpose of chapter 27. It gives us the right answer. It is money (sliver) that will be substituted for the performance. And the money/sliver WILL NOT be beyond the means of the person to pay - as we see in verse 8.
"But if he is poorer than your valuation, then he shall be set before the priest, and the priest shall assign a value to him. The priest shall assign a value according to his ability to pay. " Leviticus 27:8
This is grace! William Bullock Snr says that a vow has been made. It was not required by the Holy One (who does not require vows). It was not something the betrothal contract called for. But the man was stirred with passion, and desired to express His love for the Holy One, and His dedication (Hanukkah), in a way "above and beyond" the calling of the Holy One which Sefer Vayikra is all about.
Such things happen, occasionally, most often in the context of an overwhelming sense of gratitude for benefits received, or in the event of deliverance from apprehended evil. Alas, however, when a time comes to make good on the vow, he finds he has not the means or the capacity to fulfil the vow. It is a yafli neder - a vow too difficult.
He provides an alternative - a way of grace. The bridegroom-King does not want - and will not allow - us to owe Him any debt. He does not want us bound to Him by obligation. He wants us united with Him in love.
In this case, it means YHWH, as our redeemer, will make up the difference with regard to any obligation we have to Him over and above what we are able to perform.
What are the connections between the Vows of special dedication to the broader theme of this book? Well, you cannot have a bride embarking on a new life in the home of her bridegroom without making a vow - a vow of special dedication? The whole book has been about preparing to be a bride to the Creator of the universe without spot or wrinkle. How can one become a bride without embracing and understanding the protocol of making dedicatory vows? Vows separation should only be made by mature lovers who have counted the cost of permanent commitment and who have notwithstanding the cost sold out completely never to even look much less turn back from their covenantal commitment - even if it kills them. Hence YHWH's teachings about vows of separation come at the end, not at the beginning of Leviticus.
To be the bride, you need to:
- confess your iniquity and the iniquity of the generations before you.
- confess that your galut (exile, dispersion, diaspora) has been a corrective discipline from YHWH, for rejecting His mish'patim and chukot.
- humbles themselves and
- accepts YHWH's righteous instructions.
The parsha ends with a reminder that points to the fact their is one church or people called Israel. Gentile means of the nations or unsaved. You are either and Israelite or a gentile. They are the opposite terms. It is impossible to be both. It is an oxymoron and a contradiction.
"Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins." James 5:19-20
PROPHETS AND NEW TESTAMENT
At the lowest possible point, the people of Israel will come to the conclusion that they are suffering due to the sins of the prior generation as well as their own generations. What will take place is what may be called "national repentance". This is what saved Nineveh in the book of Jonah. Now the righteous must confess the sins of their nation whom they are attached. there is so much we have to unlearn. We have missed out on so much because of Israel's sins.
"Yahweh, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit." Jeremiah 16:19
Jeremiah says that YHWH;s people that listen to people that teach against the law, will replace His name for Baal. Baal means Lord in Hebrew. LORD replaces all the time it says YHWH in our Bibles!
When it says that there is a burden in YHWH is akin to people saying the law is bondage and there is freedom in Christ. Guess what Jeremiah says about these people? Even God will forsake you, utterly forget you, cast you out and even He will punish you and your household. He will bring shame upon those that say God's law is obsolete. The real burden is man's opinions and their philosophies.
How can we be under the law if the law is on our hearts (which is an idiom for us knowing and desiring something.) ? The New covenant is set out here for us. The New Covenant does not discard the Torah.
"Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah (notice how there is no third house called "the Church."): 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: (this is marriage language. He is talking to His bride. His bride is always obedient to His Torah.) 34 and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh; for they shall all know me, from their least to their greatest, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more." Jeremiah 31:31-34

YHWH promises to end our exile when we return to Him making repentance (teshuva). We return as a nation when we make teshuva as nation and repent for the sins of our fathers whose heritage to us was lies. Yet to come is the biggest adventure ever, the Greater Exodus - He shall gather His people from all over the earth like in Exodus. That day He will rescue His people with a mighty hand in the toxic environment around them.
"It shall happen, when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations, where Yahweh your God has driven you, and return to Yahweh your God, and obey his voice according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul; that then Yahweh your God will release you from captivity, have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples where Yahweh your God has scattered you. If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of the heavens, from there Yahweh your God will gather you, and from there he will bring you back. Yahweh your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you will possess it. He will do you good, and increase your numbers more than your fathers. Yahweh your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your offspring, to love Yahweh your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live. Yahweh your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on those who hate you, who persecuted you. You shall return and obey Yahweh’s voice, and do all his commandments which I command you today. Yahweh your God will make you plenteous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for Yahweh will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers; if you will obey Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law; if you turn to Yahweh your God with all your heart, and with all your soul." Deuteronomy 30:1-10
The you here is for the individual believer this time. At the same time, these collective individuals are referring to you as singular because you are becoming connected, just as the dry bones of Ezekiel 37.
Ezekiel 37 is one of my favourite chapters in the Bible. I get goosebumps when i read it. It is just so great! Note that the word Yasher (Jasher) means up right. Like in Ezekiel 37, Israel is made up right by Yeshua. Amazingly, Yasher is short for Yasrael, Israel!
"Yahweh’s hand was on me, and he brought me out in Yahweh’s Spirit, and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 He caused me to pass by them all around: and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and behold, they were very dry. 3 He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? I answered, Lord Yahweh, you know. 4 Again he said to me, Prophesy over these bones, and tell them, you dry bones, hear Yahweh’s word. 5 Thus says the Lord Yahweh to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am Yahweh. 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, an earthquake; and the bones came together, bone to its bone. 8 I saw, and, behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them. 9 Then he said to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and tell the wind, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live. 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceedingly great army. 11 Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off. 12 Therefore prophesy, and tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. 13 You shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have opened your graves, and caused you to come up out of your graves, my people. 14 I will put my Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land: and you shall know that I, Yahweh, have spoken it and performed it, says Yahweh. 15 Yahweh’s word came again to me, saying, 16 You, son of man, take one stick, and write on it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 and join them for you to one another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand. 18 When the children of your people shall speak to you, saying, Will you not show us what you mean by these? 19 tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand. 20 The sticks whereon you write shall be in your hand before their eyes. 21 Say to them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, where they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all; 23 neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. 24 My servant David shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 They shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers lived; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children’s children, forever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever. 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary among them forever more. 27 My tent also shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28 The nations shall know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary shall be among them forever more."

Scripture tells us how and where Israel will be brought back - and it wasn't by any third party, secular, pagan agency, nor was it actually in the current plot of land:
14 Therefore, I will now allure her,
and bring her into the wilderness,
and speak tenderly to her.
and bring her into the wilderness,
and speak tenderly to her.
[NOTE: It was in the wilderness that YHVH assembled Israel the first time too]
[NOTE: It appears this will be their entrance point back into the Land after they are assembled in the wilderness]
There she shall respond as in the days of her youth, as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt.
16 On that day, says the Lord, you will call me, “My husband,” and no longer will you call me, “My Baal.”
17 For I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, and they shall be mentioned by name no more.
17 For I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, and they shall be mentioned by name no more.
[NOTE: In other words, they won't call Him "LORD" anymore, which is what Baal means. And Baal is associated with Nimrod, so this is also saying that Israel - i.e. the Church - will no longer associate paganism connected with Nimrod to worship of YHVH]
18 I will make for you a covenant on that day with the wild animals, the birds of the air, and the creeping things of the ground; and I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land; and I will make you lie down in safety.
[NOTE: Weapons were never removed from the Land in 1948 and the current state of "Israel" has had anything but peace and safety]." Rob Skiba
The place where Achan was killed for stealing Nimrod's garments in the book of Joshua making Israel sin as a whole, will become a door of hope for His bride because when all seems lost and when it seems like it is a defeat, YHWH brings hope and rest. This door of hope will be the door of protection that will not open and is sealed form the church of Philadelphia. We are Israel and we have a responsibility to each other. We are to love each other and edify each other, encourage each other and rebuke each other when necessary. If you have a stiff neck, that is if you refuse to bow to YHWH and walk in His ways, then it is not just yourself that you are harming. YHWH knows just how much of an impact rebellious people are in our community as a whole. That is why the punishments are so harsh. It is unacceptable behaviour, especially when the whole body is in need gaining strength for warfare against a nation of giants and monsters. At these times, an error must be dwelt with because there is too much at stake with the enemy coming at us all the time. Anything in our personal lives, households and communities that leads us astray from the covenant we have with YHWH is to be rooted out and dwelt with before it takes root and wreaks havoc and destruction. We need to stick to the Word of YHWH no matter how nice and no matter how tolerant and well meaning they may appear.
The oil, corn and the wine in Hosea are the same indigents used by George Washington when he laid the comer stone to the capital in DC.
Zechariah 11 refers back to Ezekiel 37. The two sticks beauty and bands become a symbol for many things. First it will be the representation of the regathering or the Greater Exodus. It also represents Yeshua the Branch.
Zechariah 11:16-17 describes the Antichrist. See my video at the 44:07 mark for my commentary on this from the subtle references in the Percy Jackson books.
I believe Kronos (the crooked one) was Lucifer a Nephilim king - like Nimrod, tired to get into Heaven during the Pre- Flood world during the Clash of the Titans. If you want to know about the Kronides and Lucifer see these below.
In Jasher, Nimrod has a dream that a bird came and plucked his eyes out and what it meant that Abram's descendants will destroy him. Later in Jasher 27 we see Esau deliver the final blow to him while Nimrod was hunting. It was a symbol of death to lose your eye. It happens twice in the dream so that means Nimrod will die twice. Therefore means he must result in the Last Days as the Anti-Messiah.
"And at the expiration of two years from Abram's going out of the fire, that is in the fifty-second year of his life, behold king Nimrod sat in Babel upon the throne, and the king fell asleep and dreamed that he was standing with his troops and hosts in a valley opposite the king's furnace.
46 And he lifted up his eyes and saw a man in the likeness of Abram coming forth from the furnace, and that he came and stood before the king with his drawn sword, and then sprang to the king with his sword, when the king fled from the man, for he was afraid; and while he was running, the man threw an egg upon the king's head, and the egg became a great river.
47 And the king dreamed that all his troops sank in that river and died, and the king took flight with three men who were before him and he escaped.
48 And the king looked at these men and they were clothed in princely dresses as the garments of kings, and had the appearance and majesty of kings.
49 And while they were running, the river again turned to an egg before the king, and there came forth from the egg a young bird which came before the king, and flew at his head and plucked out the king's eye.
50 And the king was grieved at the sight, and he awoke out of his sleep and his spirit was agitated; and he felt a great terror.
51 And in the morning the king rose from his couch in fear, and he ordered all the wise men and magicians to come before him, when the king related his dream to them.
52 And a wise servant of the king, whose name was Anuki, answered the king, saying, This is nothing else but the evil of Abram and his seed which will spring up against my Lord and king in the latter days.
53 And behold the day will come when Abram and his seed and the children of his household will war with my king, and they will smite all the king's hosts and his troops.
54 And as to what thou hast said concerning three men which thou didst see like unto thyself, and which did escape, this means that only thou wilt escape with three kings from the kings of the earth who will be with thee in battle.
55 And that which thou sawest of the river which turned to an egg as at first, and the young bird plucking out thine eye, this means nothing else but the seed of Abram which will slay the king in latter days.
56 This is my king's dream, and this is its interpretation, and the dream is true, and the interpretation which thy servant has given thee is right." Jasher 12:45-56
Yeshua's sermon on the mount (Sinai) is a calcification of the Torah from all the legalism and traditions that have nullified it.
Fulfilment - the meeting of a requirement, condition, or need.
Destroy - end the existence of (something) by damaging or attacking it.
Destroy - end the existence of (something) by damaging or attacking it.
Did Jesus get rid of the Torah for Christians (Natsarim)? If He did, He will be erasing Himself from existence because He is the Word.
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." Matthew 5:17
You judge if Jesus is schizophrenic or not. To me, it is clear that Jesus is the quintessence of how we should live, which was done how He perfectly lived out the Torah as an example for us. However, is does not mean the Torah is done away with.
"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." Matthew 5:18.
It is clear that as believers we are naturally meant to do His commandments the best can and if we fail, we are covered in His grace.
"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:... But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people." Jeremiah 31:31 and 33.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." There are the wise and foolish virgins. Are you willing to have the oil in your lamp or are you going to be lazy and teach others to sin.
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." 1 John 3:4
The parable of the Prodigal Son is about Ephraim returning after the exile. See The Ephraim Awakening site.
Notice that a price of a woman is 30 pieces of sliver. Well if your read the New Testament, Yeshua is sold by Judas to the Sanhedrin with 30 pieces of sliver - a price fro a woman! But, Yeshua is a man! What is this? Once you realise the truth of this great mystery Paul was talking about, we know that we are the bride were meant to be crucified as scripture says for our harlotry. But Yeshua love us so much, He took our punishment so He can free us from the law of sin and death!
Also, the Hebrew for sliver is the root word or part of the name for Joseph who also was sold into slavery. See Genesis Week 9 - Va'Yeshev (And he dwelt/settled) Notes.
In Jasher, Abel is a prophet so it would make sense that Yeshua would begin at Abel's death to John the Baptist's father Zechariah.
"Therefore behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify; and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city; 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom you killed between the sanctuary and the altar. 36 Most certainly I tell you, all these things will come upon this generation." Matthew 23:34-36
The tree that is fruitless is the tree of Knowledge. Choice now which tree you eat from. I know most love their Christmas Trees than the Menorah (Yeshua the word.) Daniel 4 shows the bad tree that took over the world.
"Thus were the visions of my head on my bed: I saw, and behold, a tree in the middle of the earth; and its height was great. 11 The tree grew, and was strong, and its height reached to the sky, and its sight to the end of all the earth. 12 The leaves of it were beautiful, and its fruit much, and in it was food for all: the animals of the field had shadow under it, and the birds of the sky lived in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it. 13 I saw in the visions of my head on my bed, and behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from the sky. 14 He cried aloud, and said thus, Cut down the tree, and cut off its branches, shake off its leaves, and scatter its fruit: let the animals get away from under it, and the fowls from its branches. 15 Nevertheless leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of the sky: and let his portion be with the animals in the grass of the earth:" Daniel 4:10-15
Regarding Daniel 4, here is a thread i was on where is commented on this video:
We need to learn to be able to talk to sinners by doing His commandments. It also means to not mix paganism in your daily life. It is not necessarily talking about people being unequally yoked.
Be strong! Be strong! And may we be strengthened!
Be strong! Be strong! And may we be strengthened!
Shalom
