TORAH
The parsha shoftim, the primary focus will be to address the different types of human, flesh and blood leadership which YHWH has in mind for His people as they work through the process of implementing Kingdom principles:
In the ancient world the gates of the city or village was the centre of all city life. The reason why it says that judges are to be set at the gates of the city is because in ancient Israel, the judgement court was at the gates of the city. The elders sit at the gate of the city. This is incredibly prophetic because at the end of time when YHWH gives all judgement on the judgement seat of Messiah at the gates of the city (New Jerusalem.) That means no one comes into the city without being judged first.
Moses uses the phrase she'archa (your gates) which implies to an individuals sensory organs like the eyes, ears, nose and mouth. These organs, after all, serve as the gates through which we take information from the outside environment and respond to it. Imagine yourself as a microcosmic city and should appoint forces of moderation, self-restraint, and control what his/her eyes look at. what voices his/her ears hear, and what goes into, as well as what issues forth from ones mouth.
Point is - people are easily influenced by what comes in through their gates - their whole behavioural patterns are radically affected.
Sometimes YHWH places critical situations in our lives under the authority of human shoftim - whose job is to represent Him. A shofet is one who' like Moses, stands for YHWH in whatever way is necessary to enhance the covenant relationship between YHWH and His people. A shoftim were to represent YHWH's will in civil matters.
Every town in Israel was to have its own Bet Din (law court or "house of judgement") which its own shoterim (police force). In smaller houses, a Bet Din was to have no less than three judges to render binding decisions; in larger towns 23 were required.) Later in Jerusalem, the Sanhedrin, a group of 70 shofetim and a nassi (leader) formed the Supreme Court of the nation. The idea of the Sanhedrin goes back to the 70 zekanim (elders) who ate the covenant affirmation meal at Sinai with Moses.
Righteousness/tzedek in the Biblical/Hebreaic mindset denotes the fulfilment of the demands of a relationship, since the relationship itself is the norm. It is not transactional like the Greek and Roman mindset. Tzedek simply means what YHWH would do. The point is that what is tzedek (righteousness) is not what man thinks is just, right and fair, - but is what YHWH say is to be done in the given situation.
"Psalm 89:14 World English Bible (WEB)
14 Righteousness (tzadek) and justice (mishpat) are the foundation of your throne.
Loving kindness and truth go before your face."
"Psalm 11:7 World English Bible (WEB)
7 For Yahweh is righteous.
He loves righteousness.
The upright shall see his face."
"Psalm 119:142 Tree of Life Version (TLV)
142 Your justice is righteousness forever,
and Your Torah is truth."
"Proverbs 15:28-29 World English Bible (WEB)
28 The heart of the righteous weighs answers,
but the mouth of the wicked gushes out evil.
29 Yahweh is far from the wicked,
but he hears the prayer of the righteous."
"Proverbs 28:9 Tree of Life Version (TLV)
9 One who turns his ear from hearing Torah
—even his prayer is an abomination."
"2 Timothy 4:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
When we think about judges, we normally get a negative picture in our mind of this word. As it says in Matthew 7:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"
Is God contradicting Himself? Lets find out.
It does not bring glory to YHWH by playing the role of Satan by accusing others instead of leading back to righteousness and to repent. We do not judge the world, because that is YHWH's job! We are called to edify and build each other up and judge righteously almost each other and not the world.
But what a about a great judge or a great king or leader? These people are acting for your best interest. They are doing things for you that you cannot possibly do. We are just so used to bad judges because we unfortunately lie in a world where leadership is abused and perverted.
We determine our own future based on how we judge one another and treat the scriptures. We need to judge righteously according to the Scriptures, if there is sin in a congregation, it must be dealt with seriously.
We need to understand that as a community we need to protect ourselves against those who would bring upon us the wrath rather than the blessings of YHWH. Bear in mind that serving other gods can means gods that are very similar to YHWH - ones that have many of his attributes yet are not quite the same god of the scriptures.
We have a chiastic structure here with Deuteronomy 16:18 - 17:7
A) Devarim 16:18-20 - Appointment of judges and officers to purse righteousness.
B) Devarim 16:21 - Prohibition against setting up trees and idols near the altar.
C) Devarim 17:1 - Acceptable offerings and sacrifices.
B 1) Devarim 17:2-3 - The idolater
A 1) Devarim 17:4-7 - Conviction and execution of an idolater.
In A, Adonai commands Am Yisrael to appoint judges and officers for the purpose of ensuring righteous judgements. The emphasis is on ensuring that judgement isn’t perverted. A1 is thematically connected to A because it shows the judges and officers (spoken of in A) in action as they ensure righteousness within Eretz Yisrael by convicting an idolater. Secondly, the principle of the necessity of two witnesses for capital punishment is a measure that was implemented to ensure righteous judgement. It was implemented to minimize abuse, just as Moses stated in A. Both B and B1 are connected by the theme of idolatry! In B, Moses spoke of an idolatrous practice. In B1, he spoke of an idolater. Through the chiastic structure we are taught that an acceptable offering (central axis) can only be made within the context of righteousness (two halves of the story). This concept, that offerings/sacrifices are only acceptable within the context of righteous living on the part of the one making the offering, is a fundamental message of the prophets.
YHWH is not interested in religious demonstrations.
"Deuteronomy 10:12-13 King James Version (KJV)
12 And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?"
Verse 17 of chapter 17 reminds us of the wrongdoings of Solomon who was polygamous.
"Deuteronomy 17:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold."
"1 Kings 11:2-4 King James Version (KJV)
2 Of the nations concerning which the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father."
In Solomon's own copy of the Torah he added a yod - the smallest Hebrew letter - a jot as if were. He added it to the word rendered multiply. 17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away. This changed the tense of the word into the past tense - multiplied - ie a done deal - something that must have been prophetic as opposed to an instruction. Solomon obviously needed to justify his polygamous lifestyle. So he through he was so wise, we though he could outwit the Torah.
"James 2:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
"Matthew 5:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
When Yeshua spoke these words most the people would have instantly thought of Solomon.
"Deuteronomy 17:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:"
Yeshua is our perfect king and He writes the Torah on our hearts.
"Jeremiah 31:33 King James Version (KJV)
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Interesting that Yeshua was Torah so to have Torah written on our hearts is to be like Him - people like the thought of being like Yeshua but which bits-probably only the fluffy and easy bits -. How about being like Him fully by laying your live down to God.
Deut 18:1-8 talks about the priests, but we can sum the priests by looking at Malachi
"Malachi 2:7-9 King James Version (KJV)
7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law."
To put it another way, as go the priests and the Levities, so also goes Israel. If the nation of the Redeemed is in decline then the root of the problem is always the spiritual leadership.
What about the witch of Endor? What is funny is when Samuel was sent back by God, the power was stripped out of the witch's control for she can only bring back demons and not the literal soul of the dead back. It was God's doing not the demons doing.
I remember watching the latest Harry Potter film for ideas for Era of 303. Unlike Percy Jackson, the vibe of these Harry Potter films tortured my spirit. It felt so sick and distressed and defeated i can honestly tell you i have never felt like this before. It used to like Harry Potter. That when i realised - these films are sorely based on occultism. YHWH did not allow use to even watch them they are so diabolical. It is spiritual suicide when reading of watching J.K Rowling's content. It is like watching It or The Conjuring it is that bad (note: i have not watched these movies but i know the extent of how evil these films are). Everything about it is demonic. Unlike Lord of the Rings, Deltora Quest of the Stormlight Archive, Potter teaches the reader that magic is cool and how it can be used for good.
These are to'ebah - animations! They are repulsive to YHWH. That what i felt when watching Harry Potter.
"Deuteronomy 18:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."
Here we have a prophecy of Yeshua. This makes a mockery of the idea that Christians only have to follow the commandments of Jesus.
"John 7:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me."
What did the Father say? It is the Torah.
"John 15:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
We are to test all that say they are a spiritual person.
"Jeremiah 23:16-22 King James Version (KJV)
16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.
17 They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?
19 Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
20 The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings."
Every prophet must align with Scripture or it is automatically disqualified (along with the the prophet). The prophets of Scripture were generally reluctant to give their messages. They often lived isolated lives. They were sometimes beaten, jailed or martyred. The message of YHWH is not one that unrighteous people want to hear. True prophets generally care deeply for their audience and desire for them to repent. In a world where many declare themselves to be prophets, we need to be discerning. And know the Word! Israel's prophets generally sounded pessimistic and like a bigot. But they were straightforward and realists. They were simply warning people about YHWH's Word in the Torah for those that disobedient. They warned of the dangers that lie ahead for those who persist in going their own way. On the other hand, they were without exception: agents of hope. As YHWH leads us, we should, out of love, be warning the people that are walking in disobedience. We are to judge righteously. They are not going to Hell, they have a chance to turn back to YHWH.
We probably will not be very popular if we speak the truth - it is easy to be nice and speak loveliness, but if you courageously love those who are lost; atheists, Christians, New Agers, Pagans, whoever, then you will quickly learn what it means to count the cost. The prophets never went around being tolerant in the nugatory Christian drivel. They were morally courageous and loving enough to suffer for their divine calling.
Involuntary manslaughter - if a person kills someone by accident, they would have to have a safe place of refuge before anyone is willing to take his life through revenge. YHWH says if any blood is spilt in the land, restitution must be made in the court of law. The cities of refuge ensure the murder will have a fair trail to see weather the murder was intentional. These people stayed in the cities of refuge until the High Priest at the time dies.
There are thematic links with Chapter 19 with Cain and Abel.
The High Priest (Yeshua) as anointed with the holy oil. Messiah or Christ both mean the one who is anointed with the holy oil. There is an idea that we can destroy people by the things we say and do. This would certainly qualify for something unintentionally murdering them. Another way we can look at it is that we have all killed Yeshua through our sin, though it was not intentional, but our actions caused His death. Another thing we can take from this verse is the diaspora of the House of Israel and the House of Judah. They are also not to return to their land of possession until God leads them out in the End Days in the Greater Exodus, which begins by accepting the blood of the High Priest when He dies as anointment so they can be redeemed.
"Ezekiel 11:16 World English Bible (WEB)
16 Therefore say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they have come."
If you are outside of YHWH by not accepting the Messiah you are subject to being killed by the blood avenger.
"John 8:44 World English Bible (WEB)
44 You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father."
Satan was the murder, so according to the Torah, he has to die.
"Numbers 35:21 World English Bible (WEB)
21 or in hostility struck him with his hand, so that he died, he who struck him shall surely be put to death. He is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death, when he meets him."
When Yeshua meets Satan at the end he is cast into the Lake of Fire.
It also makes sense that Yeshua frees the captives in the city of refuge or sin.
"Luke 4:17-19 Tree of Life Version (TLV)
17 When the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him, He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,
18 “The Ruach Adonai is on me,
because He has anointed me
to proclaim Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free the oppressed,
19 and to proclaim the year of Adonai’s favor.”

In other words, this is where idolatry gets you it the sin is compete. The death of your children. All pagan gods want blood. That is the end result and we see it here manifested in our day and age. Paganism is more rampant than Christianity now! We truly live in a lawless world.

If we follow YHWH as His says in spirit, He will provide cities of refuge for us. So when we accidentally screw up, which we will, there will be so much mercy for us as the horns of the altar. If the elder has a relationship with you, then that relationship will get us under more protection and grace from the avenger of blood (the Satan). If you do not have a relationship, and your every move will be critiqued.
The boundary stones is the Torah itself. The instructions that shall not be moved. If you start messing with the boundary stone, you will not know when you are out of bounce. And if we cross the boundary stones, there is a penitently. There are two places to take that penitently stroke: here or on Yom Kippur in the future (Judgement Day). We are to know the boundary stones, and when someone steps out of that zone, we are to point it out to them in love and in private so they can repent.
The witnesses testimony must not given at face value. It must be given under oath ( the idiomatic meaning of "before YHWH", and must be given publicly (the idiomatic meaning of "before the Kohanim and the judges.") Furthermore, it must be subject to cross examination (the idiomatic meaning of "and the judges shall make diligent inquisition").
Any time you hear or read something critical of anyone else, stop and ask yourself a series of questions before deciding how you feel or what you think about what you just heard or read. First of all, ask yourself if the one speaking (or written) the i'shon hara is an eyewitness to the behaviour of the other person about which he/she talking. If he/she is not, you will know from Torah that you need to disregard the i'shon hara. Secondly, ask yourself of there are two or more eye witlessness that confirm, as eyewitnesses themselves what has been alleged. If there are not you will know from the Torah that you are to disregard the i'shon hara, Thirdly, if what they are saying passes the hurdle of two or more witnesses, you will ask yourself if the person accused has been confronted publicly with the accusations, before a third party with no stake in the controversy and no bias. If this has not occurred, you will know the i'shon hara is to be disregarded. Fourthly is he/she being held to a standard that is different than the standard that was applied to everyone else prior to the alleged act of wrongdoing? Has someone moved the boundary marker of Torah, to suit their own purposes? Fifthly, you will ask yourself if, even assuming all the forgoing, you have acted as a false witness - declaring, out of malice or in hope of personal gain - things you have not seen, or about which you really did not have all the facts. And sixthy, if all those 5 tests have been passed you will ask yourself if the punishment you purpose - the judgement you mete - is proportionate to the offence - or represents instead an attitude of vengeance or malice or self-righteousness on our part. So if the next time you find yourself involved in something that defames somebody's character - stop and ask yourself if you are acting righteously.
Stoning is allowed if you have two or more wittiness and if the case has gone through an official judicial court case. Israel is a theocracy.
War seems to be very against what Yeshua said. However, there is a time for everything.
"Ecclesiastes 3 King James Version (KJV)
3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life."
Torah teaches the importance of human life because man is made in the image of God, and also, of God's hatred of murder and the murderer.
"Proverbs 6:16-17 World English Bible (WEB)
16 There are six things which Yahweh hates;
yes, seven which are an abomination to him:
17 arrogant eyes, a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,"
"Genesis 9:5-6 World English Bible (WEB)
5 I will surely require accounting for your life’s blood. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man. 6 Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image."
According to God, there must be blood for blood, life for life, the offence against God and man in murder can only be paid for by the execution of the killer.
You stumble across a dead body of someone and no one has a clue how they died, the Levites would take a virgin heifer, bring down into a valley flowing with living water and break its neck. Why? It is Yeshua. Someone or something has to die and restitution must be made. This heifer is innocent, representing the guilt. The neck must be protected with a yoke, because Yeshua says to take His yoke because His burden is light. If you take on the yoke of the Pharisees, it is so heavy it will have a possibility of breaking you neck and you will be guilty. But if you take on the light yoke of Yeshua protects.
Some one had to sacrifice the heifer for all of Israel to be guiltless. One man's bad mistake and rouge thoughts and actions can handcuff the Creator from moving in the assembly.
So if you break the rules and moves the boundary stone, the has the legal right to grab you by the neck and put a yoke over you and drag you up to the Father. But the Father has the authority to say to the enemy to let go of my son, because Satan has no permission to cross YHWH boundary with his dirty hands on us. The authority happens when you come into YHWH's Kingdom. So when you sin, the enemy has the every right to control you and break your neck, but when you repent, the enemy is required to take you by the neck, and drag you back to the Father for judgement. Now it is the Judge's authority to judge and the enemy cannot be accused.
We are redeemed from the sin of the world by YHWH breaking the yoke on our necks.
"Deuteronomy 21:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 Be merciful, O Lord, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them."
When you repent, God brings you back into His system, into His just system where people will walk out His law in love and in mercy and in fear.
But it needs to be emphasised that this ceremony is not a sacrifice for sin, it was not part of the Old Testament sacrificial system. The heifer was not killed at the tabernacle (the only place were sacrifices for sin could be offered); it was not killed by the priests, but by the elders; its blood was not offered or sprinkled at the altar. This case has to do with an unsolved mystery. This case does not deal with the forgiveness of sin, but the removal of the guilt of innocent blood form the community where the murder was committed. The guilt of the innocent blood still rests on the head of the murderer after the ceremony is complete; it does not effect forgiveness for him. If the killer was later discovered, then he would need to be put to death for his crime. People who do not own up to these things are worthy to be killed because they are too dangerous for the community.
PROPHETS AND NEW TESTAMENT
The word salvation in Isaiah is Yeshua. YHWH will be their Yeshua.
The good news or the gospel is being preached in the Isiah's time. The gospel is that we that were divorced and God found a way to not violate His Torah in order to ransom us. He died in order to take us back into Israel.
It seems Yeshua is breaking the Torah here to "turn the other cheek". However, in the first century the leaders of Israel changed the Torah and added their own rules around it. They changed the idiomatic meaning of eye for an eye to be literal and not symbolic. It is like saying that it costed me a leg to do this for someone. No. Yeshua is saying that the leaders falsely interpreting that law are saying if someone literally insults you, you hit them back. Or if someone hurt your feelings you have the right to hurt their feelings. They took the rights of the civil governmental structural system and gave it to the individual for us to make all the decisions we think is right. This is anti-Torah. It means if someone does hurt you and steps on your toe, you forgive them, you love them and you cover them. If someone takes advantage of you, and take your cloak, let them have it because they might need it. Or if they want to go one mile with you and they want to take advantage of your time, let them go
The Laws of Hammurabi mention this similar law but it is written from the perspective of man or a Fallen Angel named Shamash (the Sumerian sun god). This is the same god Apollo mentioned in Revelation 9:11 that comes out of the bottomless pit.

A life for another's life. This is why Yeshua came to do. Eye for an eye does NOT mean getting the right to retaliate (lex talionis) revenge on someone that destroyed you as it it falsely interpreted. It is actually is not our decision to make it is the judge's to make a reasonable recompense. It is like for a like, in the CONTEXT of the decision of the judges (not us). It is the damages paid to the person. We experience what we have done to someone else to ourselves. You sow what you reap. This works all the time in the spiritual realm. You do something bad, something bad might befall you.
The Laws of Hammurabi mention this similar law but it is written from the perspective of man or a Fallen Angel named Shamash (the Sumerian sun god). This is the same god Apollo mentioned in Revelation 9:11 that comes out of the bottomless pit.
I am going to submit to you that this principle was taken or stolen by the god (elohim or angel) Shamash to Hammurabi in order to discredit YHWH's Torah because the god knew the Torah. This verse of eye for an eye tooth for a tooth is a slight twisting of its real meaning. In Hammurabi's law, it meant the right to relate or attack someone if they do something bad to you. (lex talionis which is Latin for equal retaliation). This is obviously not just, but unfortunately, this is how most people today interpret this commandment from YHWH over the law of a man that predates the physical manifestation of YHWH's Torah. Remember, YHWH's Torah is the foundation of His word and His word was there at the beginning of time and will always will be. People need to STOP putting man's laws over YHWH's! Man's has mistakes. YHWH's is perfect.
Abraham grew up knowing these slightly twisted laws in Ur and Mesopotamia.
When one of disciples cut off one of the guard's ears, they reacted without the order of Yeshua. They retailing on their own. War in and of itself, is not evil. What is evil is making war one's own timing for one's own selfish - or perversely misguided purposes. We are to not wage war the way the world does.
"Joshua 1:8-9 World English Bible (WEB)
8 This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. 9 Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God[a] is with you wherever you go.”
When the religious leaders came to John the Baptists, they had asked him is he Elijah. No. Are you the Messiah? No. Are you the Prophet? No. Here , they had a misunderstanding concerning the issue of the prophet liken unto Moses and the Messiah begin not one in the same.
Like the two or more witnesses, there will be two witnesses in the End Days. We are those witnesses.
Paul is saying we can only judge those that are in the body for sin has to be dealt with seriously.
